How the work visa usually works

Work visas for Saudi Arabia are employer-sponsored: the employer applies through the Qiwa labour platform and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the worker cannot apply alone without a job offer. Many skilled trades must first pass the Skill Verification Program (SVP) test. Domestic workers are recruited through the separate Musaned system.
