How the work visa usually works
Italy admits non-EU workers mainly through annual quotas (the 'Decreto Flussi'). The employer applies for a work authorisation (nulla osta) within the quota, and the worker then applies for the work visa at the Italian embassy. Places are limited and applications open on fixed dates.
General information, not legal advice. Rules and quotas change; confirm on the official websites below. No vacancy or badge on Ovelink guarantees a visa.
